Synopsis
Jaden
puts
down
a
book
of
Maya
Angelou’s
poetry
and
guiltily
apologies
to
the
pet
parrot.
Jaden
considers
freeing
the
caged
bird,
but
when
the
parrot
squawks,
“Polly
wanna
cracker,”
Jaden
realizes
the
domesticated
animal
can
never
survive
out
in
the
wild
without
someone
to
feed
and
care
for
it.
Dismayed,
Jaden
tries
to
lighten
the
mood by reading some Emily Dickinson.
